Colleges constiute an important element of the Canadian education system. With certificate and diploma programmes changing between six months and four years, they offer a viable alternative to gain a career and a faster alternative to a university diploma.
If your level of English is sufficient, (to be determined with an IELTS or TOEFL exam) you can directly start your college education. Unlike the universities, colleges in Canada do not require a comparability check of your diploma abroad and this saves you time and money.
If your level of English is not adequate, you can enroll at a language programme, that also colleges can offer. After succcesfully finishing your English programme your can start your college study.
Prepatory English courses or classes, which are a prerequisite of a college or university programme usually last 6 to 9 months.
At ILSC, after completing English pathway programmes, you can continue at colleges or universities in Canada and the USA without an exam.
